Several years ago, I had a spinal fusion. My neurosurgeon built a cross rail from bone splinters in my spine and inserted titanium screws into the bone to hold everything together. The exercises presented in this blog are ones that enabled me to ride and jump horses after this surgery. My passion for horses and riding have come to me relatively late in life. I ride with the help of these exercises most days.
My working life has included a deanship in higher education, the development of a national model program in women's studies, organizational, educational and political consulting and fundraising, and legislative writing. Currently, I write about sports and politics.
